We are an adult day care center that services adults with disabilities, through an individual plan of care. This is a structured, comprehensive program that provides a variety of health, social and related support services.

 

We work Monday – Friday; no nights, no weekends, no holidays. We offer benefits and a competitive starting salary. Working at Golden Pearl you will find yourself participating, and assisting on many community outings such as Wisconsin State Fair, County Fairs, State Parks Nature Trails, Pumpkin Patches, Museums, Farmers Markets, Rummage sales and so many more. You could be directing a game of Wii Bowling or Uno. Using your creativity you could be leading members with art projects, song writing, journaling, and publishing our center newspaper. You could be directing some serious outdoor games such as corn hole, life size Jenga and life size Ker plunk. You could use your gardening skills in helping our member’s plant and tend to our vegetable garden. Our members may need help with personal cares and assistance with eating lunch. They may need help putting together puzzles, erector sets or similar projects. You could help teach our members daily living skills such as cooking, how to properly wash dishes and light cleaning as well as money management. Golden Pearl's mission is to hopefully help our members attain their goals, and maybe one day transition to an independent lifestyle. You could also work alongside our Occupational or Music Therapist and assist with pet therapy. So, as you can see there are many facets to the job description of Activity Assistant/Caregiver.

 

Qualified candidates should have a clean driving record for the last 5 years and proof of personal auto insurance. We would like for you to have experience assisting adults with disabilities and the frail elderly. However, we will train the right person who possesses a positive, upbeat attitude, creativity, and motivational skills. Candidates should show a history of longevity at previous jobs.
